A couple more caps from Cast A Giant Shadow. I don't think anyone requested these particularly, it's more that I needed something to cheer me up after reading about the plagiarizing vidder twit, or as tzikeh likes to call her, Dork Pirate Desiree.

The good news: My Hercules season 2 DVDs are here! (Many many thanks to ltlj, who sent them winging across the ocean.)

The slightly less good news: They're not really here, they're at the post office, where I will pick them up just before closing time. I hope. If they didn't lose the package in the meantime. /wibble/

The other news: Today is the last day before NaNoWriMo, which means this is cosmic timing at its best. I have one guilt-free evening to watch those much-anticipated blooper reels and Iolaus kicking the crap out of the bad guys one-handed (this is the season where he spends most of his time with one arm in a cast). ETA: But then it's not very hard to kick one-handed, is it? /whaps self/ :-)

Of course, I could use a spur to keep me writing, or rather: a carrot. And what better reward for writing 2000 words a day than watching Hercules?

So: if anyone has particular screencap requests for H:tLJ season 2, bring them on. Just let me know the name of the episode and as much information as you can about the moment/shot/scene you want capped so that I'll know what to look for, in comments or in email. It doesn't have to be a Hercules or Iolaus shot or anything like that, just as long as it's in the Season 2 DVDs.

The only caveats are that I may or may not get around to it before December 1st, depending on how well I do at this NaNoWriMo thing, and that I will eventually put them up on my site - no exclusives. (Oh, and I do my best to get clear caps, but if it's a shot of a fight scene you're looking for, the chances are that it'll be blurred.)

I'll be putting up regular full-episode caps after December 1st.

Today I went to visit with halimede and science_vixen, which was the first time I had one of those 'Real Life LJ' meetings with fellow slash- and mediafen. And it was great, so I am now both jazzed and tired. It really is amazing what whining on LiveJournal can bring into your life. :-)

science_vixen is the first man I've ever met (but hopefully not the last) who says things like "Of course Vecchio is slashable", and halimede is a Sentinel. Or at least a person who can smell across the room what perfume you were wearing yesterday and can name brand and supplier. (Sorry about that: will do better next time.)

We watched Queer Eye For The Straight Guy (loved it), Sentinel (why oh why didn't I tape the good eps?), Kodomo no Omocha (my brain still hurts, but in a good way), "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" (Watson and Holmes are married) and various sparkly men dancing about, twisting each other's nipples and generally having a great time. Alas, I am still not with the sparkly, but I can see why the attraction is there, and also why the first popslash site I ever knew of was called Puppies in a Box.

In other news, I made some screencaps from the H:tLJ episode "The Vanishing Dead" last week and have put them up at last.
These are all 720 by 480 rather than 600 by 400. Seems the quality of some episodes is better than others, because this is once again the original resolution the eps were filmed in. BTW, I will be putting up caps from the 2nd season DVD set, but it may be a while: I don't know how much fangirltime I'll have left during NaNoWriMo.

I've put up screencaps from the Hercules: the Legendary Journeys eps Pride Comes Before A Brawl, March To Freedom and Warrior Princess.

Lots of shots of Iolaus and Hercules being gorgeous, lots of shots of the two of them interacting - with each other, with Xena or Lydia or Oi-Lan. (I love Lydia's facial expressions, so she gets more caps.) No shots of boring bad guys, beautiful landscapes or important plot points whatsoever.
