DigitallyObsessed has a new review of the Hercules: the Legendary Journeys season 5 DVD set, with a good overview of the season and some comments on the extras included:

Many of the comments come from Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst, who sometimes have foggy memories about the episodes, but they do exude plenty of enthusiasm for the show. Rob Tapert also appears and delivers his typical autistic diatribe about various things that never happened high level of informative material.*
The best commentary occurs on Faith with Sorbo and Hurst discussing this pivotal episode.

DeepDiscountDVD says that it has the season 5 set in stock and that they will ship it 'in a day or two'. Excuse me? If you've got them in stock today, then you can damn well ship them today. Grrr. Also, today is the official release date, so the set should be in stores everwhere, including Best Buy (where the set should have 30 mins of exclusive interview snippets, but is more expensive than at DDD.)

Unfortunately, unlike Sorbo and Hurst, Tapert has plenty of time to spend on interviews, since he can't find anybody to hire him to wreck their show.

Y'know, looking at these two icons makes me feel like I'm reading a story. A story which neither one of you has written me, might I add!!

OMG - did you see this?! "Newcomers Tamara Gorski and Nicko Vella add impressive depth to possibly one-note roles"

The only impressive depth about her is the size of the hole I wanna throw her character in.

If she was a good actress and ravishingly beautiful (like Gina Torres, for instance) or a good actress with a striking face (like Claudia Black (whose name I always get wrong, the lady from Farscape) I could have bought the storyline, but she's not. She's a bad actress whose voice could split chalkboards, especially in her crap fake accent. Her face is squinched and she's not even cute. Standing next to Sorbo, she looks like his girly little brother.

And it's not just this show or the character -- she was on that one episode of Angel and sucked ass on it, too.
