Aw. I know a certain blond hero would be very sympathetic towards this poor critter.

In other news, the first trailer for The Return of the King can be found here. New Line more or less disowned it (they asked that it be removed from Aint it Cool News and OneRing.Net) and the soundtrack isn't too good. So I guess if you're a purehearted fan, you'll wait for the official trailer.

For all the less pure geeks down here with me (heh), all I can say is Oh, I want to see the movie now. I love the undertones in this little snippet - desperate and melancholy in turns. Frodo and Sam will break my heart, I know it.

UPDATE: for those with slow connections, there are screencaps available here (this is a very big page, be warned) or here (less caps, easier download). Apparently the audio files are here, although I haven't checked them yet. Get your geek on! :-)

Oh my lord, now that's purple!
I wonder if polar bears are color blind? :-}

Heh. I don't know, but it doesn't look very happy in those pictures, does it?

Yes he would be very sympathetic!

My hero!

My stupid PC is too slow. I can't watch the trailer.
I'm more of a Pippin fan myself.

P.S- I added you in my friends list. I hope you don't mind :-)

Then you have to watch the trailer. Sorry to be such a pimp, but you just have to. Great Pippin moment at the very beginning.

P.S- I added you in my friends list. I hope you don't mind :-)

Heh. Absolutely not, and consider the favor returned :-)

He sure does. :-)

I really hope they manage to show the development of Pippin's character in the third book, and that, for example, the moment when he has to choose between saving Faramir and obeying Denethor isn't thrown away or given to a 'more important' character.

They better do! I was a little bit disapointed with the second movie. Not enough Pippin. But the battle scene was AMAZING

Yeah!

::cheerfully runs around in circles::

Thanks for listing the URL!
[livejournal.com profile] halimede downloaded it for me to watch :)

All that remains is for me to convince her to go and see the movie.

You're welcome! It is the bees' knees, isn't it? I was pretty damn eager before, but now I can hardly wait at all. It doesn't help that "The Choices of Master Samwise" and the following chapter are among my favorite bits in the book.

BTW, I'm not sure watching RoTK when you haven't read the books or seen the other two is a good idea. Too many story points to catch up on, too many people to keep track of. Although it could be a real test of Peter Jackson's skill :-)
