I got a chocolate letter in my shoe this morning, which means I have been good and will not be taken back to Spain in a big burlap sack. (A pity, really - it's 22C in Sevilla right now, and sunny.)
Now I'm going to see if the marzipan has gone on sale yet. Mmmm. My favorite kind of Sinterklaas marzipan is not the little marzipan figurines, fun as those are, but the giant pink and white marzipan pigs, about the size of a real wee piglet. I love how you can ask for 'a slice of the pig', almost as if you're at a butcher's. It's wonderfully surreal.

Date: 2007-12-05 04:43 pm (UTC)Yeah, I've considered it, but I think you need to be v. v. bad, and I'm just too lazy to rob banks and whatnot. (If you're just a little bad, Zwarte Piet comes and spanks you with a brush, instead, though nowadays people don't mention this option much.)
