Bad news of the day: I am completely incapable of making fudge.

Good news of the day: I have just invented caramel syrup.

Mmm. *wanders off in search of icecream*

Was it really humid today? That can kill good fudge even if you do everything else right. Also, if you made syrup, that usually means that, if it wasn't humid, you didn't let it stay hot enough for long enough. The good thing about screwed up fudge, though, is that it's only screwed up as "fudge." You can always do something else with it--like eat it with a spoon, straight from the pot. No, I never ever did that. Ever.

I don't think it's very humid, but it IS unseasonably hot. Maybe that's got nothing to do with it and I just wasn't careful enough.

But I'm apparently really good at creating a dark, luscious caramel sauce. *G*

Dude, today the humidity is 61%, I doubt yesterday was less. It's that whole all of us living on a swamp only *pretending* it's dry land thing... ;)
