Via A Hole in the Head, this fantastic American men's underwear ad in three installments, dated from...well, I have no idea, but a pair of knitted briefs cost 50c. Somewhere in the thirties? Maybe?
I can't decide what I like best about this - the dialogue or the pictures. Two nicely muscled, mostly naked men, discussing each other's underwear in affectionate and amazingly intimate terms - "I won't have that clammy feeling when we go out", indeed.
"Well!...look at Hercules!"
"Steady, Big Boy..."
"You're telling me?"
Of course, I'm also hopelessly charmed that the fellow on the right calls his friend "Hercules" and then shortens it to "Herc" in his very next line.
