Ebay is listing a nice 11x14 pic of Hercules and Iolaus.
Disclaimer: I don't know if this is an official photo or not (the seller claims that this is one of a limited number of 11x14 photos), and I don't know the seller.

I can report, however, that there's something quite addictive about those official photos. A couple of months ago I didn't know they existed, and now I own 13 of them. Don't ask me how this happened. But they are lovely, especially these. Now I need to decide whether I'm brave enough to actually display them and how to go about it.

I'm curious: how visible are your fannish obsessions in your homes? I know of a fan who has a huge, explicitly slashy painting hanging over the couch, and I know there are others like me who have, say, a closetful of zines but nothing on display.

Yep, that's an official one that Creation sold. I've got a copy too. That little sticker on the mat is where stupid Creation put a price tag or something on it and it's nearly impossible to get off without hurting the mat. But the picture is very nice.

I have another 11X14 that's a slight variation on this photo here (http://www.rtis.com/nat/user/chimera/Admin/images.cmdx?action=buildURL&name=5). It's darn nice. I've also got a copy of this one of Iolaus that's on ebay here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2197374268&category=14289). It was sold by Creation autographed, and some of them seemed to have ended up with other vendors. I got one for Liz for Christmas on ebay, too.

I'm curious: how visible are your fannish obsessions in your homes?

I have a couple of posters (the "Read" poster of Harrison Ford and the Western Graphics Herc and Iolaus poster), along with some framed autographs, some Karen River originals (one of Herc and Iolaus hugging, one portrait of Iolaus) and other fannish stuff (like my Herc and Iolaus teddy bears, Spike action figure, etc) in my home office. They aren't readily visible to people who come over unless they go into that room, but there's nothing embarassing on view there.

My husband likes sf&fantasy too, so in the rest of the house we've got quite a few fantasy art prints, mainly Bryan Froud, an Alan Lee, several personalized ones from an artist who's a friend of ours, Real Musgrave, and a few others I just picked up at conventions and liked.

I'm curious: how visible are your fannish obsessions in your homes?

In my part of my home (I rent a floor from a long-time, non-fannish friend of mine), it's embarrassingly visible. *g* Vids and DVDs, stacks of zines and printed 'net stories, action figures tacked to the wall, picture magnets on the file cabinets, etc.

In the "real world" part of the house? Well...I have a Snape magnet up on the fridge and a Mountie statue & a stuffed polar bear (both dueSouth related) by the main house computer. And of course if I'm reading a story or LJ or looking at a picture late at night, I don't bother to close the browser, so in the morning, my roomie and her kids can both...um...enjoy fandom too. *g*
