I'm pretty sure you can rec older fanworks on MBR at any time, it's just that there is a monthly showcase day (last Wednesday of the month) to spotlight older fanworks. (A little different than showcase Sundays, which are meant for non-fic recs only.) But if you heard differently from ranalore, let me know! (Since I'm one of the mods...) In any case, a week from today will be the first older fanworks spotlight day, so have your recs ready! :D
