Michael Hurst in "Here To Stay"
Mar. 22nd, 2007 09:28 amThere's a streaming video excerpt and some pics up on the TV New Zealand website for "Here To Stay", a TV series about Kiwis and their ethnic roots. One episode stars Michael Hurst:
"In Here To Stay Michael has a look at just about everything we have to thank the English for. Fish and chips, Minis, rugby... morris dancing. As well as a few different meanings of the word 'root'."
Fellow fan Sue reports that TVNZ has been showing some of its content on the internet after it has aired, so there is a chance that everybody will be able to see it online.
The show looks interesting, and I'd love to hear Hurst talk about his British background. (Especially if he does the north-country Twanky accent at any point. Ahem.) Also, this was filmed when he still had his 'Goldenbeard' look; right now he's apparently shaved it all off again for a feature film.
I do hope they'll put Hurst's episode up on the TVNZ website. And that their web editors learn to spell Iolaus. *eyeroll*
Thanks to Sue and Bith for most of this info!
