Maybe he could get Shen Wei to blush a bit, or fidget, or give him one of those looks that promised retribution later.

(Asking for a friend, who is me: if you're working on a long (50K-ish) fic that is unrelated to this event but fits someone's prompt ideas perfectly, is it an imposition to gift it to them when it's finally done? 👀)

I read "Seamless" last night in bed while very tired and in need of some comfort fic, and it was perfect and I loved it so much. "Tailor-made" holds a special place in my heart, and this sequel was just as warm and funny and full of love! The idea of Shen Wei introducing Zhao Yunlan to this important person in his life (as his boyfriend!!!), and this person giving Yunlan something very special and meaningful and in turn being affected by Shen Wei's heartfelt gratitude-- it was so, so lovely and beautiful. Thank you for writing it. <3 <3 <3

It makes me happy to hear that! It sounds like this story came at just the right time for you, and I'm so glad. I love to put Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan through the wringer, but there are times when it's like...no, not today. Today they get the thing they need. (Even if they don't think they need it, which ZYL is in the habit of doing.)
