I am looking for a fic where John and Rodney get some kind ancient bracelets or cuff given to them or put on them in a ritual or something , they can't get them off and they get connected mentally or maybe mated somehow. (I know of two similar stories but they are not the one I am looking for. One had John mated to Weir and Rodney to Carson for life bonds and the other it's not is the one where Carson, Rodney and I think Radak get marriage bracelets after a misunderstanding off world and are together.)

I loved this request particularly because it was the third time in the space of a week that the same story had been requested. Although none of the other requests mentioned Rodeny's (which for some reason I always want to hyphenate: Ro-Deny) brian, so I can see how the poster got confused.

The really sad part of all of this, of course, is that I can easily name 90% of the stories requested and actually provided the answer to one of the requests listed here. (And about half of the requests are for stories that are wonderful and that I would totally recommend; about 15% are for stories that are terrible and that I can't believe anyone actually managed to finish, never mind wanting to read it a second time.)

I love sgastoryfinders. It's this fabulous combination of sociology, popular literature, communications studies, and pure, pure, crazy, and I just - I love it. It is my personal addiction. And I would join story finding communities for other fandoms, but I fear SGA has ruined me. Could any other fandom provide such beautiful requests?

Hee. I've seen the grocery store request come around a few times too, so that sounded like something to read.

And yeah, I think part of why the comm's so lovely is because it's so high-volume, and few fandoms have such a range of fic. Plus, when you know the story being requested, it's another kind of interesting: as Ces pointed out, it's the money shots that people remember.
