Talk about universal themes - just about the only fandom I can think of where the main pairing doesn't wear gay pants is Xena.

I was going to suggest Lawrence of Arabia but then I remembered that, yes, they do wear gay pants. It's just that their gay pants are covered up by their long, flowing dresses.
