Hercules fifth season screencaps

I've just put up screencaps on my site for the fifth season Hercules: the Legendary Journeys episodes Stranger and Stranger, Just Passing Through and Greece Is Burning. Yeah, I picked all the lighthearted eps to watch first, but rest assured, all your requests are coming up. *g*

Our Ares. I really, really like this shot. I'm a sucker for this particular pose - leaning, folded arms (or ARMS, as merryish would put it), looking confident. Yum. When Iolaus and Hercules do it they make me melt too.

From Just Passing Through:



It's not every fandom where one half of your OTP can press the other. And I've done standing shoulder presses - they are hella harder than bench presses, let me tell you. Iolaus was sleeping here, and this is Hercules' way of waking him up. *g*

Inbetween saving Autolycus and random villagers, Hercules crocheted Iolaus an afghan. No, really. Our canon can outperform your curtainfic any day of the week, yo.

From Greece Is Burning:



"Billy Wagstaff" as the legless beggar. Yeah, right. I wonder how long Michael Hurst spent in the makeup chair for this cameo? And then he had to go back to being the Widow Twanky, not to mention direct the episode.




I, um.Think the bad guy in this ep is rather hot. Completely over the top prissy effeminate villains in makeup? Love 'em.




But I love Twanky more. Look at her! Aw. She just hasn't been the same since Hercules left town.




Twanky singing her torch song. Don't worry, things will get better.




See? Told you.




This is so cute. But I just watched bits of Darkness Rising, and well, I hate to mention it and potentially destroy the cute, but this is actually the upper part of Iolaus' Sumerian tomb that they've reused for set dressing here. Hence the vaguely cuneiform markings and the weird hat (to make him look more Sumerian?).




Away goes the panto dame, and up comes the drag queen.




OK, since we had the Extended Porn Scene a bit earlier, I forgive Hercules for not taking his shirt off here. But only just. I mean, when you're sashaying down a catwalk to 'I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt' you might just as well go the distance, you know?

I love how it looks like Auto really is trying to make a move on Iolaus there. Knowing Auto's ego, he'd probably be absolutely certain he could pull it off, too. Because who wouldn't want him?

Guys in drag are such a turn-on. Twanky looks especially hot in that second cap.

Wonderful screen caps! I need to go rewatch those eps.

We (wickedwords and me) are trying to make a very silly vid, and it wouldn't be the same without a Herc clip. We need a clip of them bathing together (one in the tub, one looking will do), or sword fighting each other, or at an visually obvious party together, or slo mo fighting together.

I'm willing to buy a DVD season of Herc if I knew for sure it would have one of these clips. I would probably bear your fannish children for a USendIt of any of the above. (imagine Whimpy's voice</> We would happily trade you for a clip tomorrow for a usendit clip today...?)

Hey Sandy! I do know you, or at least of you - both through your vids and your recs page. I think I only talked to wickedwords about the vids, though. My favorites of the ones I've seen are the astounding 'Voodoo' (that, and 'Kryptonite', convinced me to start watching I-man), the adorable 'Men' and the hilarious Smallville morality play. *g*

Whee, silly vid with Herc clip! I'll be thrilled to help, I just hope I can. Let me rack my brain. I'll link to my screencaps where I can, so you can see what the scene looks like and tell me if it's the sort of thing you need.

Bathing: alas, AFAIK there are no shots of either in the tub with the other present. We do have:
- Hercules naked in river, Iolaus watching (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/images/caps/JustPassingThrough/page4.htm)
- Hercules booting a half-naked Iolaus into the river
- Hercules & Iolaus taking a mud bath together. Note that they're completely covered in mud - it's a great moment, but dark and hard to see who it is. (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/images/caps/WarBride/img14.htm)

Sword fighting each other:
- the scene that springs immediately to mind is the big fight at the end of the first Xena episodes, where Iolaus fights Hercules in grim earnest. (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/images/caps/WarriorPrincess/page9.htm) It's quite a long fight scene with lots of movement. (I used a bit of it in my Iolaus vid, Iolaus rolling to the ground and pulling a dagger on Herc.) There are a couple of other places where they fight each other, but not with swords, I think. Although there is also a delicious scene where Iolaus, having lost his memory, fights Hercules with a sword (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/images/caps/HerosHeart/page10.htm) and Hercules tries to evade him. But maybe these are too grim in tone?

Party: there are tons of scenes of them at a bar, drinking together, but that's not quite it, is it? I'll have to look and see what else is there. Ditto the slo-mo fighting.

I'm rearsandvices at AIM and I'll be online today, at least until about 10 pm Dutch time, so holler and we can discuss the options? I'll try to throw up a clip of the Xena fight.
