Yay! Site update: radio interview with Michael Hurst
I posted earlier about a transcript of a great radio interview with Michael Hurst about his new production of MacBeth. Turns out I messed up my attributions: this wasn't the National Radio interview but the interview with 95bFM, which is the Auckland University student radio station.
I e-mailed the station on a whim, and got a very nice reply from the lady who did the interview (Noelle McCarthy, News and Editorial Director); at my request, she sent me an .mp3 of the interview and gave me permission to put it online. Noelle, many thanks once again!
Here's the interview, which first aired on 'The Wire' on the 25th of May on 95bFM.

I don't want to overload the Squidge server, hence the warnings. I've emailed the maintainter of MichaelHurst.com to see if she's interested in hosting the file, since she does such a great job of collecting Michael Hurst news there, but for the moment it's up at the address above.
The .mp3 starts a little way into the interview, so the 'Here I am, eating tuna' quote isn't in there, but the rest is loud and clear. Michael does quite a few line readings from MacBeth, discussing his interpretation of them with the interviewer, who is clearly having a ball. Fun stuff.

Makes me want to go to New Zealand just to see a play. But then I realize I'm poor and not quite that insane. Yet. :->

I need to go work for a NZ/Dutch firm or something, if such a beast exists.
