Yay!
Oh, I'm so pleased and relieved. I can still finish things that are longer than 100 words, why yes I can. Go me!
Um, yes. What I meant to say: I finished the first draft of the Hercules & Iolaus adventure story I've been writing the past weeks. (I posted a brief excerpt here.) It grew to nearly 15.000 words, which amazed me no end considering that this was the one story idea that didn't seem to have much of a plot when I started out.
It's in beta right now, and will need a rewrite, but that's no biggie. I love rewriting; I love having written. I actually love writing too, it's just the idea of having to write something that gives me the heebie-jeebies, and the idea that other people will read it, which is why I spent some time yesterday devising emails to my betas that began, "Here's the deeply deeply crappy H:tLJ story, so sorry for inflicting this on you," and then deleting them.
Anyway. It's the first of June, which means that I will go like gangbusters onto the original fic I was actually supposed to be writing lo these three months earlier - it's for the Dutch SF&F competition, deadline is July first, and I have sworn to take part. Having convinced
halimede to join in, I have to keep my word, no? *g*
But I've still got other H:tLJ stories eating my brain (there's the one with the 1st person priestess, there's the one with the Stymphalian birds, there's the one with the election, etc etc ad nauseam) so I hope to get back to them soonish.

I am SO uncreative, especially in this fandom. Well, I did a theme song for the Window Twanky once, but I lost the damn thing on my old computer. :->

Aw! That's too bad, I would have loved to read it. (Or was it a filk? Or a vid? Damn, a Widow Twankey vid would be great. Possibly a Hercules/Twankey romance to some unbearably schmoopy song...)

And, you EVIL EVIL PERSON, if you get herc/twanky stuck in my head, I'm going to have to KILL you. Aiiieeeee!!!!!!

Ha! I've got Adobe Premiere and I'm not afraid to use it!
All I need is the right song. Hmm. How about...the Shoop Shoop song?
("if you wanna know if he loves you so...")

Naaaaw. a) It's not sappy enough, and b)
And you need to be careful with that adobe premiere ... I've seen it reach out and grab people. :-> It's like fandom crack. The first few frames are free, and then BAM.

Yeah, you're right - I can actually tolerate the Shoop Shoop song. Well, it'll come to me. *g*
Is that Duncan/Amanda vid online anywhere? I've only discovered vids about a month ago, so there's heaps and heaps of really good ones that I haven't seen.

Hee! I do know what you mean. There's this little insidious voice that keeps whispering But there are hardly any Hercules vids. Go on, make some! whenever I open the dratted thing.

screw things upwork with Adobe Premiere' project, so don't expect quick or indeed watchable results. *g*Also, I need the fourth and fifth seasons for footage! Oh, and for watching too. I can't wait to hear Kevin and Michael commenting on And Fancy Free.
