prillalar has started a lovely discussion about the Slashiest Scene Ever in the fandom of your choice. Since I have H:tLJ on the brain these days, I added the infamous scene from Maze of the Minotaur to her thread.

One of my favourite Herc & Iolaus moments, although I dunno about slashiest ever. That whole 'Sword of Veracity' episode where Hercules gets so jealous of Iolaus' latest conquest, that's just as slashy as one big slashy thing. And all the hugs and casual touching. And poor Hercules mourning Iolaus' death like his world has ended. And the dagger-forging scene from Warrior Princess, especially with Michael Hurst's DVD comments.

One of the great things about H:tLJ is that Mr. Sorbo and Mr. Hurst knew about the "real" Hercules and were more than willing to play with the "subtext." Unlike in Zener, though, it was fun and just there, no big deal. I think I remember an interview with Mr. Sorbo saying that they joked about the "Untold Journeys." Ah, slashy subtext all over the place. . .Ares did it, too. Watch his twist Deimos' nipples some time. . .
