H:tLJ songvids?

The meme about which songs you associate with which characters and/or pairings got me thinking about songvids again. I've been listening mainly to jazz singers lately, and so the songvids playing in my head may be a little strange. For instance, I'm not sure Sinatra and H:tLJ actually go together, but whenever I hear Frankie belt out I'm Gonna Live Till I Die I think it could be Iolaus' theme song. And then there's the "Hercules and Iolaus fighting back to back" vid to the tune of Let's Face The Music And Dance...

Even the technical preliminaries to creating songvids seem hellishly difficult, though, and it's not likely that I'll make any headway soon. Which is probably a good thing, because I hardly need more displacement activity from the various stories I should be working on. :cough:

But I must add that so far I've seen exactly one songvid starring Iolaus: The Way That You Walk by Holly Lynn. I can't believe I haven't even come across any Hercules, Iphicles or Autolycus vids. Does anyone know more?

Video Elite (http://www.dreamvision-entertainment.com/videoelite/resources.html) has a Hercules/Xena section where they link to different websites that host Hercules and Xena vids.
At the cons I've been to, which are, essentially, vid(ding) cons -- I've seen 3? 4? Xena vids. I don't believe I've ever seen a Hercules vid, but I'm betting some get aired at MediaWest every year.

Ah, thanks! I've seen one Ares/Xena vid, the luscious "Salome" by [livejournal.com profile] killabeez - I was going to link to her site, but it appears to be missing. I'll check out the links at Video Elite.

And I bet there are lots of Xena/Gabrielle vids, but I'm not so interested in those.

I'm betting some get aired at MediaWest every year

Wail. I think MediaWest should relocate to the Netherlands. And Vividcon, and Escapade, and every good SF con too.

Not all the lyrics, but these particular verses and the chorus always remind me of the look on Hercules' face as he tries to deal with (or not deal with) Iolaus' death in season 5

I Miss My Friend
Darryl Worley
Written by: Nesler/Shapiro/Martin

The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say
To make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend.

I miss the colors that you brought into my life
Your golden smile, those blue-green eyes
And I miss your gentle voice in lonely times like now
Saying it'll be all right
I miss my friend.

The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say
To make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend.

I miss those times
I miss those nights
I even miss our silly fights
The making up
The morning talks
And those late afternoon walks
I miss my friend.

The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say
To make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend.

That is so topical (what with the 'golden smile' and the references to the light and everything) that I'm amazed no one has used it for a schmoopy song fic yet. *g*

Well, it's a country singer, so maybe that's why, though the song really doesn't have a strong country feel. The first verse wouldn't fit, but the rest does.
