H:tLJ Amazon Women screencaps

I've uploaded a truly ridiculous amount of Hercules and the Amazon Women screencaps to my site, and am still in the process of uploading disclaimers to every dratted page.

No excuses are given for the surprising scarcity of Amazons and the plethora of shots of Hercules and Iolaus flirting, fighting, in bondage or in the throes of...well, death, really, much as I would prefer to substitute another word. I like to pretend that never happened, much as Hercules does.

[ETA: And if you want to know what I'm talking about, do check out Ryp's hilarious abridged version.]

This is the picture that makes me cry 'Too Hot To Die!', thanks to repeated and appreciative viewing of [livejournal.com profile] amorettea's icon:

You'd never guess that Iolaus was getting married in a week, would you?

Until you remember that we are in Ancient Greece, where a man can have his cake

and eat it.

As I said, this never happened, and that's canon:

Nor did this.

This, however, did. clears throat

Happy viewing, all.

And [livejournal.com profile] dbw reports that the 3d season H:tLJ DVD sets are on pre-order at Best Buy now, for a reasonable $44.99 as opposed to the official list price of $69.99. It's not entirely clear whether there will be exclusive extras in the Best Buy sets again, but I rather think there will be, given the hints posted on various bulletin boards.

Eliminate the silly story with the Amazons and it's a darn good bit of Herc and Iolaus. Ah, ancient Greece. . .Hercverse style. I still remember the first time I saw Michael Hurst and thought, why have I never seen HIM before! That was long before I knew he lived on the other side of the planet. Sigh.

Sigh indeed. I wish I could have seen him as Hamlet or as the Dame in Aladdin. London I could've managed, but NZ - nope.
