Guardian Wishlist is happening

There's a couple days left to sign up for guardian_wishlist, and I managed to get my wishlist done too. It's a fun very low-key Guardian and related fandoms event where you can comment on someone's wishlist to give them something they requested (fanart, fic, picspams, podfic, all kinds of goodness) and then it all goes live at once in a month's time. And you don't need to sign up for anything if you just want to give a gift to someone else, it's a free for all.

Much like Zhu Yilong's movie promo - it's such a typical Long-ge fandom experience that there's no news for months except for maybe some commercials, and then BOOM a firehose of content. He grew his hair, he dyed it blue, he gave a concert on the beach! And on it goes.

New weird meta-romcom movie will be shown in the US and I am very jealous. I really doubt this one will make it to Dutch cinema - I know I said that about the last one too, but that one made it to Cannes and that must have helped enormously.

I'm hoping so hard that we get Z1L's new movie here, if it's going to the US! But other than a couple of announcements at festivals elsewhere, we still haven't had The River Only Flows, despite rumors that it'd be opening in Canada, so I'm not feeling at all confident. But they're such different movies, so who knows.

Fingers crossed so hard for the movies both making it to Canada! OtRF really ought to make it there, Cannes and everything should propel it onto people's playlists. Or so I hope.

Now it just needs to come to my city! (I've been compulsively refreshing the international movies listings for the local chain for at least a week now, but nothing so far.)
