once again I am mesmerized by Zhu Yilong even though he's in a commercial for awful looking fast food pizza (it has mashed potatoes on it??)

rude of him. why does he have to look like that. "Do you know the taste of longing?" is quite the slogan for, I have to repeat myself, a pizza that features mashed potatoes as a reasonable topping.

I usually keep track of him by lurking at wenella's, and as I expect you know it can be a very surreal experience; one minute you get his face in that ad, being all transported and illuminated and ethereal and masculine, and then you get him at whatever his latest awards ceremony was, a shy dork who never knows what expression he should be wearing...

I wonder about that too - I think on film sets they have spit buckets for disposing of whatever they have to be fake eating if it gets too much? so I hope it's something similar, but given the closeups and that it has to look real...I dunno. I would cheer at him getting to eat stuff, but not this stuff, alas.

That pizza is the worst! I had to go show that ad around for how awful the product looks. Once again I am glad there is no KFC anywhere near me.

(Of course he looks amazing in everything he does, no question about that.)

There IS KFC nearby me but they do not sell any of the things that have Zhu Yilong's endorsement, afaik. Though I still wouldn't buy the gross pizza if they did sell it, but it would make me so happy to see his face on a poster...
