Yeah, I know what you mean. It's a tough choice; I even had trouble buying the regular version of season 5, even though I knew the extras were only half an hour of snippets cut from other interviews. (And my set still hasn't arrived yet, grrr.)

The extra for season 1 is a disc of interviews with Sorbo and Hurst, called 'The Men Behind The Myth', and it's certainly worth having, although not as indispensable as the fabulous blooper reel that comes with S2. I didn't get this first disc either, at the time, because I didn't know about the BB extras and BB doesn't ship overseas, but a kind fan made a copy for me.

So if I were you, I'd plump for the regular set and... make Bambi eyes. *g*

I'm a bit confused by what you say about packaging, though - as far as I know, the H:tLJ sets look exactly the same whether you buy them at Best Buy or not, except for an 'exclusive content' banner around the front. The sets in my bookcase, some from BB and some not, still match fine.
