Ahhhh it's so exciting to see people start NiF! I also went in not knowing anything and enjoyed that hugely - though I had Skuld to ask about names and tropes and such. I'm glad you've got friends who can fill that role for you. And yeah, C-drama has a way of just throwing the kitchen sink at you in the first episode, and letting you sort things out as you go along.
