Words, words, words

2026 words today. Unlike certain persons who shall remain nameless (cough dbw cough), I don't know what the heck I'm doing - I grabbed a McGuffin and a couple of characters and ran. This makes for interesting developments. Where the hell did the fighting griffins come from, frex? They certainly weren't there when I opened up the file.

(I won't be posting my NaNoWriMo stuff, btw. One, because it's a very rough draft and in no fit state to be read, and two, because I'm pretty sure I haven't finished writing my one million words of crap yet, if you know what I mean. And three, it isn't fanfic, and this is my mostly-fannish LJ.)

There is a very nicely done motivational spreadsheet here, if you want to look at graphs of your word count and so on. And Inspiration (free 30-day trial) is a neat programme to create mindmaps & plots with. (You know, with lots of arrows and thought bulbs and things like that. A big sheet of paper and an array of coloured markers work well for this too, of course...)

Congrats again. Either LJ is acting up and not showing everything that should be on my friends page, or this whole NaNoWriMo thing is a serious factor in making LJ more quiet than usual. {dramatic sigh}

I'm still going to have to wait till the 10th before I get my assignment. And what am I supposed to do until then, huh? I mean, besides watch footage to get a better sense of their voices & stuff, and worry greatly about whether I can do it...

Ha! I never claimed I knew what I was doing -- just that I've had a lot of the plot/scenes worked out for awhile now. Believe me, my current output has taken me completely by surprise.
